Janet and I started our honeymoon with live theatre in New York City. To this day, she stills recalls how thrilling it was to see Yul Brynner in “The King and I” on Broadway.
We are big fans of Shakespeare by the Sea but that is pretty much a given since our son Drew has been performing with the company since age 12 when he was Young Coriolanus. I was involved with the Board for several years and am thrilled that the company is surviving the Pandemic.
This year we joined Ships Company Theatre in Parrsboro and like that we can combine attendance at a show with a stay in a B&B as a mini-Staycation.
We are excited to see what Kat McCormack does with Eastern Front Theatre. We expect to support that organization to help keep live theatre alive in Nova Scotia.
Of course, we attend shows at Neptune and applaud Jeremy Webb in his role as Artistic Director.
